New Dating Term: "Dogfishing" When Someone Poses In Dating Profile Pic with a Dog That Isn't Theirs

According to UrbanDictionary Catfishing is:
The phenomenon of internet predators that fabricate online identities and entire social circles to trick people into emotional/romantic relationships (over a long period of time).

Back in my single days I think I was catfished once or twice via online dating apps. Something felt a little off about the conversations, and all I could do is picture some old dude in his basement eating Doritos with his pants off posing as a ladddyyyy.

Well Dogfishing is a little different. It seems there are people (I bet it's mostly dudes) posing with dogs who aren't theirs in order to get some of those coveted 'right swipes'

According to online dating coaches this is something you shouldn't do. So you're telling me starting any sort of relationship based on lies isn't going to end well?
