Florida City to Change The Code For Emotional Support Chickens?

Is this a bunch of poppycock? Or maybe not...

February 10, 2020

The great Florida City of St. Augustine Beach is most likely going to change its emotional support animal law, which would now allow a 9 year old boy with disabilities to keep eight of his chickens at their house.

The boys mother, Jennifer Wildasin, made the request for a zoning hearing to allow her son to keep the chickens due to his brain injuries. As of now the cities code does not allow a residence to keep insects, reptiles, cattle, pigs, horses, goats, hogs, or poultry.

The zoning board denied the changing of the code, but did allow the Wildasin family to keep the chickens.

Good job St. Augustine Beach!
