Train Rider Reports Suspicious Package, Turns Out To Be A Machine Used To Detect Suspicious Packages

How suspicious

October 31, 2019

You always hear "If you see something, say something"...

Well, a rider of a New York train saw a 6 foot tall suspicious package sitting in an odd spot. This person decided to let the New York MTS know through their emergency entercom.

The package turned out to be not that suspicious. The six foot tall machine is used to automatically report questionable and odd events. Aren't odd events the only kind of events that happen on a subway train?

The MTA describe the machines as, "a new technology program that puts subway customers in touch with Transit personnel via an interactive communications device."
