The city has started work on Friday next to Lake Eola Park

June 26, 2020

On Friday Morning, the City of Orlando has begun work on a street-wide "Black Lives Matter" mural on Rosalind Avenue, adjacent to Lake Eola Park downtown. This follows a movement where similar murals have been painted in cities like Washington D.C., Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, New York, Seattle, and St. Petersburg.

The 400-foot long mural is expected to be unveiled over the weekend, and anybody hoping to help paint is asked to arrive around 11am on Friday.
