A Lime Scooter Got Tossed Into Lake Eola On The First Weekend

Don't say I didn't warn you...

January 30, 2020

You can't say I didn't warn you. Having lived in, and visited, multiple cities with these scooters, I told you exactly what's gonna happen. I follow BirdGraveyard on Instagram, I've seen it with my own eyes.

They're already scattered like litter all over sidewalks, residential yards, the side of the road. Matt Malone, 3 weeks ago said, "It's only a matter of time before we see one heading towards Disney on I4, or one gets tossed in the lake..."

Lime introduced their scooters to Orlando last week, and reports having more than 2,000 trips registered. But it only took ONE. And it only took ONE WEEKEND... before someone threw a scooter into Lake Eola.

Sure, the City Of Orlando put in a ton of regulations regarding safety, where they can and can not be used, etc. (For the record, Lime Scooters are NOT allowed around Lake Eola... but WHO would break the law?)

I'm not mad or even disappointed, because it was inevitable.
